The Firm Production

With its two plants (Nîmes - 30 and Melun - 77), Optiroc is in a position to offer its customers products that match their expectations perfectly.
Established near the most densely populated areas, on major trunk roads, both factories are located where they give easy access to the zones of construction, thus reducing transport costs to a minimum.
The geographical situation near raw material quarries (mineral and colour loads) is also a considerable advantage.
All these conditions reunited lead efficient and economical customer service.

Manufacturing
Mineral loads, acrylic binders, sometimes pigments, are the main products used to make up the fillers.
Mixed together in different proportions according to the quality needed, they form a paste matrix. This is the ready-to-use filler.
An automated manufacturing process both in Nîmes and Melun guarantees the stability of the mix and the strict homogeneity of the products.
This homogeneity is systematically controlled by the laboratory that validates, amongst other things, the rheology parameters, aspect and colour.

Research and Development
As well as Quality control, the laboratory is also responsible for Development. It is true that just meeting the customers’ requirements is not enough.
In accordance with its position on the market, Optiroc has a policy of constant improvement of its products and frequently offers its users (craftmen, contractors and the general public) innovations intended to make the products more efficient, easier to use and to apply. Finally, perfecting ranges of decorating fillers has led the laboratory to acquire significant know-how in texture research as well as in the disciplines relating to the colorimetry.

Environment
Right from the start, under the influence of its Scandinavian ancestry, Optiroc has considered environmental respect to be a fundamental part of the quality of its products. Today, the whole production is water-based.
This being so, it is not enough to simply make products conforming to an HQE or "habitat friendly" procedure. The constraints of durable development also call for clean manufacturing, i.e. free from dust discharge, rinse waste, etc. In this framework, the sites have at their disposal reprocessing devices that help to avoid any discharge into the environment, going one step further than just simple respect of the regulations.
