Optiroc, specialist in painter's fillers, aims to supply professionals in Construction finishings with ready-to-use products for the preparation, the decoration and the finishing of interior walls.
The product ranges are in constant evolution in order to take account of the needs of the users and to bring them the latest solutions, even more economical and simpler. Our objective is and always has been the search for the very best possible quality and service.
Optiroc also tries to formulate products which will enable the contractor to express his talent and his creativity, and thus enhance his know-how.

With its DIY range as well, Optiroc enables both novices and seasoned handymen to do a good job using products of the same standard of quality and practicality as professional products.


Optiroc is a member of the maxit Group, worldwide building materials supplier.

Some important dates:
  • 1982 : Dalakemiska, a Swedish firm specialising in fillers, opens a subsidiary in France: Dalachimie, for the manufacture of "gouttelette" spray filler.
  • 1985 : Dalakemiska is bought out by the Ernström group, Swedish supplier of raw materials for construction. Dalachimie becomes Serpo France.
  • 1986 : Serpo France begins to diversify its products.
  • 1988 : Inauguration of a new manufacturing plant in Nîmes.
  • 1989 : A manufacturing plant is acquired in Melun.
  • 1995 : The Ernström group is bought up by the Scandinavian cement manufacturer Scancem.
    Serpo France then joins Optiroc, the cement manufacturer's Building Materials division. Serpo France then becomes Optiroc France .
  • 1998 : a manufacturing/conditioning plant for dry fillers is opened in Nîmes
    First DIY sales developments. First decorating products launched.
  • 2000 : HeidelbergCement group buys up Scancem.
  • 2001 : HeidelbergCement creates a Building Materials section, HBE, which integrates Optiroc as well as other subsidiaries of the cement manufacturer.
  • 2003 : HBE is renamed maxit Group and is equipped with functional management.
  • 2008 : maxit Group is acquired by Saint-Gobain.

The Group

Nearly 5,000 employees contribute to annual turnover exceeding EUR 1.2 billion.

 

Since March 2008, maxit Group is part of the French Saint-Gobain Group.
